| Boise Tree Trimming and Pruning |

We're often ask how we go about pruning trees. It's important to understand that the approach and methods for Tree Pruning and Thinning depend on the goal of the homeowner or business owner, as well as the type, location, and function of the tree or trees in question. Is it a large shade tree? An ornamental or deciduous? Is it a row of trees along a street intended to curb road-noise? Are there power lines or other obstructions? What is the frequency with which the owners have been or intend to have the trees maintained? Are there current or impending issues with the root system, such as street or sidewalk damage? How many other trees are close-by and are they competing for light or nourishment? Ideally trees are planted appropriately, are the right kind for the right area and intended function, and are not in severe competition for natural resources. Assuming these conditions, and learning from the trees' owners, we go about trimming and thinning trees for maximum beauty and functionality for years to come. Boise tree pruning companies are generally well-trained, based on the many-varied species in the area, but there are also some unique challenges to some of our local trees. For large projects we recommend hiring a local, experienced professional tree service, but for smaller projects, and "in between" maintenance, it's usually ok to perform the job yourself. There are several good and easy-to-understand guides available. For concise instructions as well as good explanation of pruning methods and rationale, plus some great example tree trimming do's and don'ts, and great example photos, we like the following tree pruning publication: http://pubs.cas.psu.edu/freepubs/pdfs/uh099.pdf.
